Metabolic Reprogramming in Nerve Cells

چکیده
Mammalian physiology has a complex networked system which is called the nervous system. Nerve cells can undergo degeneration due to injury and stress. Regeneration difficult process, axonal regeneration may succeed or not. Metabolic changes lead development of many diseases including neurodegenerative diseases. Survival metabolically impaired state nerve referred as metabolic reprogramming in present review. rewiring dependent on intrinsic extrinsic factors necessity for neuron act curative neurogenesis. These events highlight importance understanding molecular mechanisms metabolism. The knowledge help us understand process that will be useful cell regeneration. Different plant extracts, food components physical activity cells, but there need scientific studies support neural along with first line therapy. review discusses metabolism, effects disorders, suggests possible interventions exercised therapeutic interventions.

Metabolic Reprogramming in Mutant IDH1 Glioma Cells
BACKGROUND Mutations in isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) 1 have been reported in over 70% of low-grade gliomas and secondary glioblastomas. IDH1 is the enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to α-ketoglutarate while mutant IDH1 catalyzes the conversion of α-ketoglutarate into 2-hydroxyglutarate. These mutations are associated with the accumulation of 2-hydroxyglutarate ...

متن کاملDysregulated metabolic enzymes and metabolic reprogramming in cancer cells
Tumor cells carry various genetic and metabolic alterations, which directly contribute to their growth and malignancy. Links between metabolism and cancer are multifaceted. Metabolic reprogramming, such as enhanced aerobic glycolysis, mutations in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle metabolic enzymes, and dependence on lipid and glutamine metabolism are key characteristics of cancer cells. Under...
متن کاملMetabolic Reprogramming in Glioma
Many cancers have long been thought to primarily metabolize glucose for energy production-a phenomenon known as the Warburg Effect, after the classic studies of Otto Warburg in the early twentieth century. Yet cancer cells also utilize other substrates, such as amino acids and fatty acids, to produce raw materials for cellular maintenance and energetic currency to accomplish cellular tasks. The...
